Meet Amanda Gabriela

I’m Amanda and I’m here to make family travel and modern motherhood feel a little more doable, affordable, and fun.

Before kids, I took pride in how cheaply I could travel the world with nothing but a backpack, my partner, and a good sense of adventure. Then my husband and I had two kids and realized we still wanted the adventure — we just needed a version that worked with car seats, nap schedules, and tiny people with very strong opinions.

Amanda Gabs is where I collect the guides, notes, and finds I’d send to a friend who asked, “Wait, that’s genius. Where did you get that?”

I love finding the perfect travel gear - the stroller that actually folds easily and fits in the overhead bin, the bag that holds every baby item but doesn’t look like a diaper bag, the shoes that can survive a full travel day and not need to be cropped out of photos - yes, I get it. I’ve done it. I’ve got you.

And when something is worth buying new, splurging on, skipping completely, or finding secondhand? I’ll tell you.

I’m not here to pretend motherhood is effortless or that every trip with kids is magical. Sometimes the baby sleeps through the flight, and sometimes your toddler throws up into your hands because your hands were the only available container (true story). I’m interested in the middle: the stuff that actually helps, the products that are worth the space in your suitcase, and the little moves that make the family trips so worth it.
